For spring break we decided to head South in search of some sun and warm weather. Thursday we left and stayed in St George at Gabes house. Friday we stopped by a few stores, had lunch and then headed to Mesquite. The kids couldn't wait hit the pool. We checked in hurried and changed and went out to the pool, where Colton didn't even take the time to test the water, he just dropped his towel took off his shirt and shoes and jumped in. When he came up out of the water his eyes were as big as quarters. He had jumped into the not so warm unheated pool. He jumped out, said, thats freezing and went and got in the a little bit warmer heated pool. We had some friends, The Chipmans, met us down there, so when they got there our kids had some friends to play with. They have boys the same age as Cole and Abi and a two year old girl, that Abi loved leading her around. We all spent some time swimming, playing tenis and enjoying being outside before we settled in for the night with a quick pizza for dinner.
He loved putting his hands in and splashing water everywhere, he had it all over his face and in his eyes, but didn't even care. He laid his head back and just hung out for a bit and at times he leaned so far back he almost tipped over. He enjoyed it almost as much as our little mermaid Abi. I love that my kids love swimming and being outside as much as I do. That evening we were going to hit the buffet and go bowling but it was really busy, so we opted out of that one and just went for a quick bite, rented a movie and went back to the condo for movie and popcorn - perfect ending to a fun day.
