Easter Fun

Well, Easter has come and gone and the weather still can't decide if it's spring or not. We have had some beautiful days, but we have still had some real cold rainy/snowy days. Saturday was one of those cold rainy days that we really wanted it to be nice so we could play outside, hunt some eggs, and do a hotdog roast by the fire. Didn't work out that way, but we still fit in a fun easter egg hunt in the rain and hotdogs on the BBQer. We started out our Easter weekend in Vernal and my moms house. The kids spent some time with Gigi getting treats from her while we hid eggs all over the yard. They then went crazy finding eggs in the rain and had so much fun. I didn't get many picutres cuz it was too cold, rainy and crazy. After the hunt we went inside and enjoyed our picinic in the house with lots of yummy food. The kids played all day long and were sad when it was time to leave. Gabe and Parker were out and anytime they are around it is always hard for Colton to leave cuz he loves being around his cousin since he doesn't get to see him much. We headed home at 7:30 thinking 10pm wouldn't be too bad, but ended up running into snow which made the drive a little longer. At one point in the drive Abi pipes up and says, "Dad can you even see?" and his response was, "Not really". It was kinda slow going but we made it.

Sunday morning we woke up to treats from the easter bunny and more eggs to hunt. The kids had a blast and found a ton. I am amazed at how good all three of them are at finding hidden eggs. Maybe it's cuz they know candy is inside. Anway, after that we headed to church and then headed down to Nephi for Easter dinner. Justin, Mareah and the girls were there and so much fun was had by all. Grandma Archibald had another egg hunt for them and a bag of goodies for each kid hanging in the trees in the back. It was so cute. In the bags she had scrubs for each of the kids, so now we have little Drs and nurses running around our house.

All in all it was a great weekend even though the weather didn't cooperate, we still had lots of fun and ended up with way too much candy and treats.
