I'm a little behind on posting this, but I figure better late than never right?!?
The last weekend in Sept we went to Vernal for the weekend since we don't make it out there too much anymore. While we were there Sat we decided to go for a ride and get outside to enjoy the nice weather. We drove up Dry Fork and found a spot to picinc by the now dry creek which was full of the best sand ever. A couple weeks ago there was a big rain storm that sent a flash flood down the creek and this sand came in with that. It was beautiful, fine, white sand that you imagine on a tropical beach. We wanted to shovel it up and take it home. The kids had lots of fun playing in the sand, digging holes and making this vampire mermaid (yes, vampire mermaid with fangs and all). Abigail loves mermaid's and just recently she watched a movie called the little vampire, so for the last week it's been all about vampires. After a little playing we sat and had a picnic and then did a little more playing. It was fun getting out and being up the canyon to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. After our trip we stopped by my aunt and uncles new home they are building. Their back yard is climbing rocks that my kids would die to have in our backyard. They played for another hour out on the rocks until we made them leave. The next day Colton said, "can we go back to the place we were yesterday and climb the rocks?". That is going to be his new favorite place when we go to Vernal. We are lucky to be surrounded by mountains and valleys, creeks and lakes, trees, rocks and the many beauties of the world. I am thankful to live in such a wonderful area that lets us have so many fun areas around us to go explore and enjoy with our family.

It's funny to read about you going to dry fork canyon. Because I can totally picture it. Good times in the Canyon.
